Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT
There have been many ups and some downs in the history of the Alfa Romeo marque, but one of the brightest stars on the Alfa heaven is undeniable the Giulia Sprint GT from 1963. From the hand of the young genious Giorgetto Giugiaro while at the Bertone design studio, the compact Gran Turismo coupe version of the four-door Giulia oozes dolce vita and Italian lifestyle. The lightweight GTA aluminum version that terrorized the race tracks and won the European Touring Car Championship several times in the mid-60s added greatly to the appeal of the Alfa Romeo name and the GT legend in particular.
Chassis number AR609935 left the factory in Arese on 4. December 1964 in this beautiful light blue color and was sold new on 17. May 1965 to its first owner in the small town of Casana All’Ionio in the Calabria region of Southern Italy. The car has lived in that region all its life until we bought it in Crotone in 2016.
