Mercedes Benz SL Klasse (R107) 450 SL
1973 Mercedes Benz 450 SL Convertible in Original condition.
This is the arguably the most desirable 107 chassis ever made for the US market, it is the first year of the more powerful 4.5 liter 117.982 engine and the last year of the small bumper 107.044 chassis. Starting with the 1974 model, the US Federally mandated bumper grew in size and the silhouette of these sleek cars was lost forever.
The very unique color combination of green on green makes this one of the rarest 1973 450SL car's ever produced. The Hardtop is color matched along with a complete set matching wheel covers that are both original to the car from the factory.
Showing only 92,100 miles from new, it has been enjoyed as a pleasure vehicle, driven only in mild weather.
Exterior pics show an incredibly well cared for automobile with paint that present well with a glossy finish and all original trim present.
The interior shows well with clean and solid original panels, carpets, seats and dash in good, well cared for condition with a small crack present near the left air vent.
Under hood you'll find a largely original and un-modified engine compartment with a well maintained power plant that has had service items replaced as necessary throughout the years.
This would be perfect for Cruise Night, Advertising and Promotional use or a very cool addition to your collection, you decide!
